What these terms cover

These terms apply when you buy a soil test kit from Lammas Soil Analysis or use this site. By placing an order you are agreeing to them. If you do not agree with them, please do not order.

What we provide

We send you a sample kit, arrange for a certified laboratory to analyze the soil you return in it, and give you the results together with suggestions based on them. Shipping both ways is included in the price of the kit.

Suggestions are guidance, not a guarantee

This is the most important thing on this page. Our suggestions are based on the soil you sent us and what you told us you are growing. Local conditions, weather, watering, how and when you apply a product, and variation between products all affect the outcome. We provide analysis and guidance, not a guarantee of specific results.

Always follow the application instructions on any product you buy, including its safety directions. Our suggested rates do not override a manufacturer's label.

Ordering and payment

Prices are shown on the site and charged in US dollars at checkout. Payment is processed by Stripe. Your order is confirmed once payment succeeds, and we will email you a confirmation.

Sending your sample back

Your kit includes instructions for collecting the sample and a prepaid way to return it. Please follow the collection instructions. A sample taken from the wrong depth, or mixed from areas that are managed differently, produces a result that is accurate about the soil in the bag but not useful about your ground.

We are not able to analyze a sample that arrives damaged, unlabelled or contaminated. If that happens, contact us and we will sort it out with you.

Refunds

If something has gone wrong with your order, email us. If we refund you, the money goes back to the card you paid with.

Your account

You are responsible for keeping your password to yourself. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access to your account. Your results are visible to anyone signed in to it.

Acceptable use

Please do not attempt to access other customers' accounts or results, disrupt the service, or scrape the site. We may suspend an account that does.

Limits of our liability

To the extent the law allows, our liability in connection with an order is limited to what you paid for it. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. For example, the cost of products you bought, or the outcome of a growing season.

Changes

We may update these terms. The version in force for your order is the one published when you placed it, and the date at the top of this page tells you when it last changed.
